This is release PD11.1.0 of phyCORE-OMAP4430 Linux Board Support Package (BSP).


This BSP provides a basis for development, deployment and execution of Linux based applications on the phyCORE-OMAP4430 System on Module.

For detailed information on the various software components included in the release and how to use them, please refer to the Quickstart.

Release PD11.0.0 should be used in conjunction with Quickstart version PD11.1.0:

What’s Supported

This BSP Release supports the following components:

  • Linux Kernel and device drivers:
    • Serial Console
    • USB Host: Keyboard, Mouse, Memory
    • USB OTG: Device
    • Ethernet
    • SD-Card
    • Audio
    • I2C with EEPROM, PMIC, Touch Controller support
    • SPI
    • Display Primeview-PD050VL1
    • Display Primeview-PD104SLF
    • Display Primeview-PM070WL4
    • PowerVR SGX540*
  • Qt 4.7 Support

The demo binary image included in Release PD11.1.0 does not enable SPI. If SPI is required, you must enable SPI with your own build.

OpenGL support is not activated in the Images nor in the BSP due the GraphicSDK licences. It can be activated with PTXdist with:

ptxdist menuconfig

PTXdist Base Configuration         --->
    Graphics & Multimedia           --->
        <*> graphics_sdk  --->
            (y)   Accept the License for Graphics SDK?
            OMAPES (7.x for AM45x (Panda board/phyCORE-OMAP4))

Known Issues

  • Display and DVI does not work when used parallel
  • In some rare cases the serial connection sends garbage while booting

Upgrade and Compatibility Information

To upgrade to a new BSP release, simply delete the old release and extract the new release in its place.
